Vinous – May 24, 2022
In “The Italian Rosé Paradigm,” the first installment of Vinous’ annual Rosé report, Eric Guido says 2020 was a balanced, temperate vintage and reviews the following wines:
MORGANTE Rosé di Morgante 2021 – 88 points
“The 2021 Rosè di Morgante, a Nero d’Avola Rosato, is sweetly perfumed with hints of toffee and butter cream giving way to freshly-sliced pears. It fleshes out across the palate with round textures contrasted by a buzzing of stimulating acidity. All the while there’s a confectionery note that carries from the nose through the finish, as the Rose’ di Morgante finishes crisp and clean.”
